Harvest Power From Your Solar Array BigBattery designed this inverter to receive up to 5kW input power from a solar array on each of its two MPPTs (Maximum Power Point Trackers), each of which operate at 99.9% efficiency. Safety features such as PV input current limiting and PV night reverse current protection keep the system from being damaged by high current from PV and keep the batteries from discharging power to the panels. For example, a BMS may include battery over voltage protection, battery under voltage protection, and battery over current protection, and the APEX-6.5K can display these alarms.
